## Plans

Vignette ID has no subscription for drivers: every vignette and section toll is a one-off purchase. The recurring plans are the partner programme tiers and the TollBox subscriptions, each detailed in its own section below.

## How prices are built

- **Price** is what the customer pays at vignette.id: the official operator price plus the Vignette ID service fee, in EUR unless stated. The same product can be paid in other currencies at checkout at that day's rate.
- **Official price** is the national operator's own tariff for the same product, so the service fee is always visible as the difference. The JSON API states both as `total_price` and `government_price`.
- There is no subscription, no account fee and no minimum order. A vignette is bought once, registered to the licence plate and delivered digitally; the app and the website are free.
- Vehicles over 3.5 t are not priced here: they pay distance-based tolls that Vignette ID does not sell.

## What every vignette price includes

- Registration of the vignette to the licence plate with the national operator, so nothing is stuck to the windscreen and there is no waiting period beyond the operator's own activation rules.
- Payment check and activation within about 5 to 7 minutes of purchase, then delivery by e-mail and in the Vignette ID account and app, with expiry reminders and several vehicles per account.
- Customer support around the clock, by live chat on the site and by e-mail, in the 16 languages the site is published in.
- Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe and SumUp. Prices are listed in EUR; the checkout can charge in other currencies (UAH, USD, PLN and HUF among them) at that day's rate.
- No subscription, no account fee, no minimum order. The website and the app are free.

**Vehicle classes.** Vignettes are sold per class: car (up to 3.5 t), van or minibus, motorcycle, and trailer where the country prices one. Section tolls (Alpine tunnels and bridges) are priced per crossing and carry no vehicle class.

**Validity.** Each country sells its own set of periods, from 1 day to a year; the tables state every period on sale. A vignette starts on the date chosen at checkout, and some countries only allow a start from the next day.

**Changes and refunds.** An order without Flex Service is final once paid: the plate, the start date and the vignette type cannot be changed and the order is not refundable, because the national operators do not allow it. Flex Service, below, is the paid exception.

## Flex Service: making an order changeable and refundable

An optional add-on per product, sold through the partner API (source: https://docs.vgnt.app/wiki/flexible-service, checked 2026-09-26). It is the only way an order can be modified after payment or refunded.

## Paying: questions customers ask

**When does my e-vignette become valid?**

Within 5–7 minutes of your purchase, we check the payment and activate the vignette. Why not instantly? Mistakes happen: if our system spots one in your order, we contact you by email before activating it.

**How can I pay?**

• We accept payments through Stripe and SumUp. • If a payment fails, simply try again: we will switch you to another payment gateway. • The easiest way to pay is Apple Pay or Google Pay. • We never store your payment or card details.

**What is VOI?**

VOI is the fee charged when you buy a vignette online. It can only be avoided by buying in person at a petrol station. Buying here saves you that stop: no queue and no explaining what you need. It takes a few clicks, and you can buy vignettes for several countries at once, which a petrol station can't offer.

**I've bought a vignette. Can I change the licence plate or other details?**

No. Once a vignette is paid, the licence plate, start date and vignette type can no longer be changed; these are government rules. Please check your details carefully. A different car needs its own vignette. However, if you add the Flex service to your vignette, you can change the licence plate, start date or vignette type before the vignette starts.

**Is there a subscription or a membership?**

No. A vignette is a one-off purchase for the period chosen; the account, the app and the reminders are free. The only recurring fee anywhere is the partner programme's monthly tier, and Standard is free.

**Why is the price higher than the operator's own tariff?**

The difference is the Vignette ID service fee, shown per offer in the Service fee column: it pays for the plate registration with the operator, the digital delivery, the app and the 24/7 support. The operator's own price is always stated next to it, so the fee is never hidden.

**Are prices the same in every currency?**

The list price is in EUR. Paying in another currency converts at that day's rate at checkout; partners can request the catalogue directly in UAH, USD, PLN, HUF and others.

**Can I get a refund or change the licence plate after paying?**

Not on an ordinary order: once paid, the plate, the start date and the vignette type are fixed and the order is not refundable, because that is how the national operators issue vignettes. Orders placed with Flex Service can be changed and refunded under the tiers in the Flex Service section.

**Does the partner programme charge per order?**

No per-order fee. Partners pay the monthly tier, receive a commission per sale set in the cooperation agreement, and place a refundable security deposit before going live.

**Do vehicles over 3.5 tonnes have a price here?**

No. Heavy vehicles pay distance-based tolls on separate systems (Austria's GO-Maut, Hungary's HU-GO and their equivalents) that Vignette ID does not sell.

## Buyer Fit

Good fit for drivers of vehicles up to 3.5 t who need a motorway vignette or an Alpine section toll in Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, and for travel, insurance, fleet, rental and reseller businesses that want to sell those vignettes through an API, a widget or an iframe.

Not a fit for vehicles over 3.5 t (distance-based tolls on separate systems), for countries outside the nine, or for checking whether a licence plate already holds a valid vignette, which only the national operator's system can answer.

## Terms

- Renewal: none for vignettes and section tolls; each is bought once for the period chosen. Partner tiers are billed monthly. TollBox subscriptions run for the plan length bought.
- Cancellation and changes: a paid vignette order cannot be changed or cancelled unless it was placed with Flex Service; partner-tier changes follow the cooperation agreement.
- Refunds: none on ordinary vignette orders; under Flex Service, 100% of the vignette price more than 6 hours before the start, 50% between 5 and 6 hours before or within 1 hour of a same-day purchase, nothing later. The Flex fee itself is not refunded.
- Payment: card, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe and SumUp for customers; partners are paid out per their tier's payout schedule, and place a refundable security deposit before going live.
- Prices: the customer price shown is the final price at checkout in EUR; other currencies convert at that day's rate. The official operator price is stated alongside so the service fee is visible.
- Contract: partners sign a cooperation agreement drafted in the revenue calculator, with commission and revenue share set per account.

## Examples

- A car driving through Austria for a long weekend pays €18.86 for the 10-day vignette (official price €12.80); the difference is the service fee.
- A week's holiday in Slovenia by car costs €21.65 for the 7-day vignette (official price €16.00).
- Switzerland sells only the annual vignette: €50.00 for a car, whatever the length of the trip.
- A partner on the Premium tier pays €49 a month, is paid out up to 4 times a month from a €100 balance, and keeps its own branding on the checkout; commission per sale is set in its agreement.
